Met Gala 2023 Sunglasses: Get the Look

The Met Gala is one of the largest events in the fashion world, where A-list celebrities, fashion icons, and designers come together to showcase their best looks on the red carpet. This year's Met Gala, held as always at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, was no exception. This year's theme, "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty", was a tribute to the late fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. Lagerfeld passed away in 2019 and is widely regarded as one of the most influential designers in the fashion industry, having worked for some of the biggest fashion houses, including Chanel, Fendi, and his own eponymous label. While the statement suits and over-the-top dresses caught our eye, the sunglasses, of course, made a lasting impact and, in our opinion, completed these iconic looks.

Sunglasses have always been a staple accessory on the Met Gala red carpet, and at times, they tend to be just as stylish and bold as the outfits themselves. Gucci Has A Moment... 

First up, we have ASAP Rocky. The Harlem rapper has been a prominent figure in the music and fashion industries for several years, known for his unique street style, establishing him as a fashion icon. Rocky appeared in a Gucci fit, which was not to our surprise considering his close connection to the brand. Wearing custom Gucci, including a long tartan skirt over embroidered denim jeans, a crisp white shirt and a dapper blazer, he completed his look with stacked belts and a sleek pair of square black frames from the latest Gucci eyewear collection.  With the theme being Karl Lagerfeld, it was no surprise that many celebrities strutted the red carpet in bold black frames, and these Gucci sunglasses appeared to be a favourite. Below, actor and DJ Idris Elba and actress Jessica Chastain wear the same Gucci model as ASAP Rocky.

Tom Ford & Sleek Black Tuxedo's...

Bradley Cooper was another one of our favourites from this year's event. The actor represented one of our most popular brands at Pret a Voir, Tom Ford. Wearing a sophisticated all-black Tom Ford tuxedo paired with aviator sunglasses from the brand's latest collection. Next up, we have Usher. The American singer and actor had just rounded up a show in Vegas before he brought his trendy presence to the Met Gala red carpet. Usher walked the famous red carpet with up-and-coming British fashion designer Bianca Saunders, as he also honoured her by wearing a Bianca Saunders tuxedo. Knowing Usher's love for eyewear, we weren't surprised that he finished his look with a shiny pair of round-frame sunglasses. Affordable Frames Make An Appearance On The Red Carpet...

Although it may feel like it, achieving the look of your favourite celebrities and fashion designers is not always a difficult task!
