About Mont Blanc

Montblanc is most commonly recognised as a superior watch manufacturer however Montblanc was fundamentally a maker of writing utensils. In 1952, a Hamburg banker, Alfred Nehemias, and a Berlin engineer, August Eberstein, together recognised the signs of time and decided to produce high-quality pens. After a short period of time Wilhelm Dziambor, Christian Lausen and later Claus Johannes Voss took over the business and together paved the way for the future of Montblanc. Over the last 100 years, Montblanc has stood for ingenious design, top quality and traditional craftsmanship.

Montblanc glasses share this same uncompromising demand when it comes to the on shape, style, materials and workmanship of each glasses frame. The same way ingenuity and imagination helped the fountain pen to make its technical and commercial breakthrough as a writing instrument - Montblanc eyewear adds an elegant and exclusive touch to your wardrobe. With exceptional quality eyeglasses Montblanc designs and crafts functional yet sophisticated opticals with super-light metal sheet or high-quality acetate construction and a discernible "M" or snowcap detail embellishing the design.
